The Alberta Law Reform Institute is recommending legislation that would make it easier for fiduciaries to access a deceased person's digital assets after their death. ALRI Conducts Stakeholder Engagement Sessions on Alberta’s Residential Tenancies Act

The Residential Tenancies Act in Alberta

The Alberta Law Reform Institute is undertaking a preliminary review of Alberta’s Residential Tenancies Act. The Residential Tenancies Act establishes the rights, rules, and obligations that govern the relationship between a landlord and tenant. Brennan Shepherd is a soon-to-be third year student at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. Government of Alberta Tables Legislative Changes To Personal Property Security Law

The Government of Alberta tabled Bill 9, The Red Tape Reduction Implementation Act on March 8, 2023.
