The Board and staff at ALRI congratulates former long time Board member Professor Roderick J Wood as he is recognized with the Canadian Bar Association’s Ramon John Hnatyshyn award for his contributions to law reform, legal scholarship, and legal research.

Professor Wood served on ALRI’s Board admirably over many years and authored Personal Property Security Law, Final Report 116. The report recommended improvements to Alberta’s Personal Property Security Act. The Alberta government implemented many of these changes in Red Tape Reduction Statutes Amendment Act, 2023.
