ALRI is excited to welcome Sarah Ormandy (she/her) to its team!

Sarah Ormandy is a law student going into her final year of studies at the University of Alberta. She has a Musical Theatre Diploma (without distinction) from MacEwan University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting (with distinction) from the University of Alberta. Sarah is an improviser and performance artist who has worked across Canada. She enjoys the intersection of performance and the law, and was a part of the winning team for the 2022 Willms & Shier Environmental Law Moot. She’s looking forward to expanding her research skills with ALRI this summer.

What is your favourite food?
Dry, gluten free toast.

Who inspires you?
Tom Slade, creator of Fantasy Courts.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Bourbon Street, West Edmonton Mall. It’s lovely this time of year.

What is the most challenging or fun part of your job?
Deciding when to take my lunch break. Sometimes I choose 12:00pm, and other times 12:30pm.

What would your superhero power be?
Being able to visualize images in my mind.

What is your most memorable moment in your career?
